Cheryl Hines Bio

Cheryl Ruth Hines (born September 21, 1965 in Miami Beach, Florida, United States) is an actress, director, and comedian. She is most renowned for her role as Larry David’s wife, Cheryl, on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.


Cheryl made her film debut in the classic Along Came Polly. She made her debut on the TV Show: “Swamp Thing: The Series”. She has starred in movies including RV (2006), Waitress (2007), and The Ugly Truth (2009). She has also starred in A Bad Mom’s Christmas, Space Chimps, Nine Lives, and Herbie Fully Loaded.


Her role in the HBO TV Series, Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000), earned her two Emmy award nominations (2003 and 2006). She was also nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Awards-Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2005, 2009, and 2017. In 2009, Cheryl made her directorial debut at the Tribeca Film Festival with Serious Moonlight. She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2014.
