Edward Burns Bio
Edward Burns, born Edward Fitzgerald Burns was born on January 29th 1968, in New York and is an American actor, producer, director and writer. With an education from Hunter College, his career came to mainstream knowledge with the film She’s the One, which he directed, wrote and starred in alongside Jennifer Aniston, Amanda Peet and Jennifer Aniston.
Some of his best-known films include Saving Private Ryan, Life or Something Like it, The Holiday, 27 Dresses, Friends with Kids and Alex Cross. Most recently he has played Bugsy Siegel in the television series Mob City. Some of his accolades won so far include a Sundance Film Festival Award and Boston Film Festival Award. Burns has also been nominated for a Teen Choice Award and SAG Award.
