Lisa Loeb is an American singer, songwriter, musician, producer, actress, and author born in Bethesda, Maryland on March 11, 1968. While attending Brown University, she started the band, Liz and Liza. In 1989 they released their debut album self-titled Liz and Lisa and followed it up in 1990 with the album Liz and Liza – Days Were Different. After college the band split up and in 1995 Loeb released her debut album titled Tails. She has since released the albums Firecracker, Cake and Pie, Hello Lisa, The Way It Really Is No Fairy Tale, and Lullaby Girl. She has also released several children’s albums, including Catch the Moon, Camp Lisa, Lisa Loeb’s Silly Sing-Along, Lisa Loeb’s Songs For Movin’ And Shakin’, Nursery Rhyme Parade!, and Feel What U Feel. Loeb made her acting debut in 1999 in the film Serial Killing 4 Dummies and continued landing roles and making appearances in the shows and films MADtv, Spider-Man: The New Animated Series, Dweezil & Lisa, Number 1 Single, Friday Night, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Helicopter Mom, Hot Tub Time Machine 2, Hell’s Kitchen, and Community. Throughout her career she has been nominated for several awards and has won a Grammy Award, a Brit Award, a BMI Pop Award, and two NAPPA Awards.
