Joc Pederson is an American professional baseball player born in Palo Alto, California on April 21, 1992. He is currently an outfielder and first baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball. Pederson played baseball in high school at Palo Alto High School. Coming out of high school, he was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 11th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft. Pederson was going to play college baseball at the University of Southern California, but decided to sign with the Dodgers instead. He played in the minor leagues from 2010 to 2014 with the Ogden Raptors, Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, Mesa Solar Sox, Chattanooga Lookouts, Cardenales de Lara, and the Albuquerque Isotopes. On September 1, 2014 he made his MLB debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Throughout his MLB career he has recorded 107 home runs, 255 runs batted in, with a batting average of .231. In 2013 Pederson played for the Israel national baseball team in the qualifying rounds of the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
