Nancy Wilson Bio

Nancy Wilson is a rock musician born on March 16, 1954, in San Francisco, California. She became a member of the band Heart. She worked on the album Dreamboat Annie which was released in 1975. The album went platinum in 1976 and the singles “Magic Man” and “Crazy on You” became big hits.

She also worked on the album Little Queen which made it to the Billboard chart at No. 11. The albums Magazine, Dog & Butterfly, and Bébé le Strange followed. After Heart’s hiatus, Wilson dabbled in different projects mainly on her husband, Cameron Crowe’s film scores. She contributed guitar recordings and the song “All for Love” for Say Anything…, a film score for Jerry Maguire, and the theme and original songs for Almost Famous. Wilson also composed theme music for Elizabethtown and Vanilla Sky.
