Jonathan Lucroy was born in Eustis, Florida on June 13, 1986. He went to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and set school records while playing for the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns. He is the catcher for Oakland Athletics in Major League Baseball. He has been a two-time All-Star pick – in 2014 and 2016. He also won the Fielding Bible award.
The Milwaukee Brewers picked him in the third round of the 2007 draft. He started playing for the Brewers in 2010 until 2016. He signed with the Texas Ranger in 2016 then played with the Colorado Rockies in 2017.
He participated in the 2017 World Baseball Classic and helped Team USA win over Puerto Rico.
He ended up with his current team, Oakland Athletics, in 2018.
