Kyle Schwarber was born in Middletown, Ohio on March 5, 1993. He was the first round pick of the Chicago Cubs in the 2014 MLB Amateur Draft. His current position is left fielder and catcher. He made his debut on June 16, 2015. He wears shirt No. 12. He went to Indiana University-Bloomington where he played for the Indiana Hoosiers. He was part of the All-Star Futures Game, and he earned the MVP award for the said game. During his college years, he was named All-American during his freshman year. In his second year, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association named him as first-team All-American. He also played for the collegiate national team of the US after his sophomore year. He was also a Johnny Bench Award finalist.
