Frances Ruffelle is an English actress and singer best known for her work in theatre, film, and television. She was born in London, England, on August 29, 1965.
Frances began her acting career in the mid-1970s, and she became famous the following decade when she starred in the West End productions of Starlight Express and Les Misérables. She has since starred in the productions of Queenie, Bella, The Sleeping Prince, Chicago, Children of Eden, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
As a screen actress, Frances has appeared in the TV series Dream Team, Birds of a Feather, The New Adventures of Robin Hood, Tucker's Luck, and The Equalizer, and her filmography includes The Wildcats of St. Trinian's, Secrets & Lies, The Road to Ithaca, and Les Misérables which featured Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, and Sacha Baron Cohen.
