Jose Altuve was born in Puerto Cabello, Venezuela on May 6, 1990. His current position is the second baseman. He made his debut on July 20, 2011. He was part of the All-Star Games in 2012 and from 2014 to 2018. He also received the AL batting titles three times – in 2014, 2016 and 2017. He bagged the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award in 2016. He was also the Major League Player of the Year in 2016 and 2017. For 2017, he took home the Most Valuable Player award in AL, the Hank Aaron Award, and the Babe Ruth Award. Altuve also received a Gold Gloves award in 2015 and received five silver sluggers from 2014 to 2018. He has also been the Player of the Month twice and the Player of the Week three times.
