Jarvis Cocker Bio

Jarvis Branson Cocker is an English musician, singer, songwriter, and radio personality best known for performing indie, soul, instrumental, and soft rock music. He was born in Sheffield, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, on September 19, 1963. Jarvis began his music career in 1978 when he formed the band Pulp, and with the group, he released the hit singles Common People, Disco 2000, Babies, and Something Changed. Jarvis began his solo career in 2006 with the release of his debut, eponymous studio project Jarvis. He is also known as the host of the BBC Radio 6 Music show Jarvis Cocker's Sunday Service. His music was featured in the album Jazz Lullabies alongside Chilly Gonzales, Andy Pavlov, Count Basic, and Joep Beving.
