Modest Mouse Bio

Modest Mouse is a jagged, lo-fi post-rock band formed in Issaquah, Washington, United States in 1992. Rock and pop are their musical specialties and their style is alternative/indie rock, indie rock, alternative pop/rock, and lo-fi. The current group members are Isaac Brock, Jeremiah Green, Jim Fairchild, Lisa Molinaro, Russell Higbee, and Tom Peloso. Their music is a mixture of punk-inspired rawness and a simmering atmosphere. Some of their song highlights are “Float On”, “Dashboard”, “Coyotes”, “Interstate 8”, “Ocean Breathes Salty”, “Lampshades on Fire”, “The Ground Walks, With Time in a Box”, “The Best Room”, and many more. They are known for their collaborations with artists and performers such as Iron Horse, Kidz Bop Kids, 764-HERO, and Some Monastery. They were nominated for a Grammy Award at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards in 2004 for Best Alternative Music Album for “Good News For People Who Love Bad News”.
