Michael Schenker Bio
On the 10th of January 1955, guitarist Michael Schenker was born in the city of Sarstedt in the German state of Sarstedt. His work with the several bands brought him widespread recognition. At the age of sixteen, he received an invitation from the band the Scorpions to try out for the role of lead guitarist in the band. He is currently working as the guitarist for the English heavy metal band UFO, in addition to pursuing a career with his own band. Before that, he was an active participant in his very own band. Because Schenker did not speak English at the time, the majority of the translation work that needed to be done between him and the other members of UFO was initially done by Schenker's wife. In addition to that, James Kottak was his bandmate in Scorpions and also played the drums for the band.
