Jens Martin Lekman, better known as Jens Lekman, was born in Angered, Gothenburg, Sweden on February 6, 1981. In 2004, he released the album When I Said I Wanted to Be Your Dog which peaked at No. 6 of the Swedish charts. His next album in 2017, Night Falls Over Kortedala, topped the Swedish charts. It also entered the US charts and peaked at No. 192. In 2011, he released the EP An Argument with Myself. His 2012 album, I Know What Love Isn’t, peaked at No. 3 in Sweden and at No. 137 in the US charts. He was also the featured artist on Frida Scar’s Tillsammans Gatan Ner. Lekman’s latest release is the compilation Correspondence which includes the tracks “Forever Young, Forever Beautiful” and “Not Because It’s Easy, but Because It’s Hard.”
