Morbid Angel is a death metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed in 1983. They contributed to the rise of death metal during their time. They were signed to Giant Records and were the first death metal band to achieve widespread success. Trey Azagthoth, the band's guitarist, has served as the band's leader. Before David Vincent was replaced by Steve Tucker for the band's subsequent three albums, the band released their first four albums with Pete Sandoval on drums and David Vincent on vocals. After that, the band released their next three albums with Steve Tucker on vocals and bass. In 2017, the band released "Kingdoms Disdained," their ninth studio album consisting of full-length tracks.
