Alfonso Herrera is a Mexican actor and musician born in Mexico City, Mexico on August 28, 1983. He is best known for his roles on Clase 406, El Equipo, Sense8, and El Dandy. He was also a member of the Latin pop group RBD that was nominated for a Latin Grammy and several Premios Juventud Awards. The band made 9 studio albums and sold over fifteen million records worldwide while together. Before getting into acting Herrera planned to go to school for aviation but decided to pursue a career in acting instead. He made his debut on television and in film in 2002 in the film Amar te duele and the soap opera Clase 406 and has since been in the films and shows Venezzia, El Capo, El Diez, Espectro, The Chosen, Tiempo final, Urban Cowboy, Drunk History, The Exorcist, Queen of the South, and others. Throughout his career in acting and music he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won five Premios Juventud Awards, a Canada International Film Festival Award, an MTV Movie Awards Mexico Award, and a Bloody Disgusting Readers Choice Award.
