Gabriele Ponte (who’s popularly known as Gabry Ponte) is an Italian DJ and music producer who was born on April 20th 1973 in Moncalieri, Piemonte, Italy. He was born and raised in Moncalieri, Italy.
Gabry rose to fame in the late 1990s as a member of the Europop trio Eiffel 65 which he formed with Jeffrey Jey and Maury Lobina. He helped the ensemble release many hit songs including 1999 hit single Blue (Da Ba Dee). One of his most successful solo tracks is the dance song Geordie which appeared in 2002. His side project Sangwara released remixes of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and Killing Me Softly by Roberta Flack. He also released the popular 2012 dance track Beat on My Drum featuring rapper Pitbull. Some of his other solo albums include Gabry Ponte (2002) and Dotto Jekyll & Mister DJ (2004).
