Taking Back Sunday is an American hardcore band founded in 1999 in Amityville, New York. It consists of Adam Lazzara (lead vocals), John Nolan (lead guitar, keyboards, vocals), Shaun Cooper (bass guitar), and Mark O'Connell (drums). The band released a demo and toured with acts like At the Drive-In before their debut album “Tell All Your Friends” went out in 2002. After some lineup changes, in 2004 the band’s sophomore effort “Where You Want to Be” arrived and peaked at number three on Billboard’s Top 200. The group went on to sign a deal with Warner Bros. and in 2006 they issued a third LP titled “Louder Now”, produced by Eric Valentine. After a live album release, the original 2002 lineup reunited, and in 2011 the combo released an eponymous full-length album. A hit LP titled “Happiness Is” followed, and shortly after, the band put out a 20th-anniversary retrospective album and went on tour in 2019.
