Skye Townsend is an actress and singer born on 1st September 1993 in Santa Monica, California, United States. She is the daughter of actor/comedian Robert Townsend. She is best known for appearing in the 2021 sketch comedy television series “A Black Lady Sketch Show”. She started her acting career with the web series “8 Days a Week”, playing the role of Jade Taylor. In 2013, she played Maya Hardaway in the film “Playin’ for Love”. In 2018, she appeared as Lola in the feature film “Chase”.
Townsend started singing at a young age. In 2012, she released her first album, titled “Vomit One”. The album featured artists like Chris O’Bannon (Go Fish!) and Karina Pasian. She has similarly collaborated with Wyaan Vaughn and Micky Munday. She started recording her debut EP “Rocking Chairs”, in 2015. The EP contained 5 tracks.
