Jade Bird was born in Hexham, North England on October 1, 1997. She attracted attention after her performance of the song “Madeline” on YouTube went viral. She inked a deal with Glassnote Records thanks to her internet fame. She released her debut EP Something American on 2017, which contained five tracks. The songs include “Cathedral,” ”Good Woman,” “Grinnin’ in Your Face,” “What Am I Here For” and the title track.
She started touring with Brent Cobb in 2017, and she opened for Son Little and First Aid Kit. She also performed at Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany.
One of her singles “Lottery” topped Billboard’s Adult Alternative Songs chart. She also released an acoustic single “Uh Huh” in September 2018. She plans to release a full-length album in 2019.
