Aparna Nancherla was born on August the 22nd 1982 in Washington D.C and is an American comedian and actress. Beginning a stand up comedy career in Washington, she then moved to New York City to write for the comedy series, Totally Biased with W.Kamau Bell, when the show ended in 2013, she then became a staff writer in 2015 for the television show, Late Night With Seth Meyers.
With credits that range from writing for web series to shows such as Inside Amy Schumer, she has recently transitioned into mainstream media with appearances on The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, Crashing, Conan and more recently voiced Hollyhock in BoJack Horseman and has had appearances on Master of None and Grace in Corporate, alongside Anne Dudek and Lance Reddick.
