Freida Pinto Bio
Freida Selena Pinto is an Indian actress and model best known for her work in film and television. She was born in Bombay, Maharashtra, India, on October 18, 1984. Freida began her entertainment career as a model in the mid-2000s as a model with Elite Model Management India, and during that time, she was featured in several TV commercials. She became internationally famous when she starred in the hit 2008 film Slumdog Millionaire alongside Dev Patel, Anil Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, and Jeneva Talwar. Freida has since acted in the blockbuster films Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Immortals, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, and the TV series Guerrilla, The Path, and Mira, Royal Detective. She has won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, a GQ Award for Woman of the Year, and a Breakthrough Performance Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
