Noomi Rapace is a Swedish actress. She was born Noomi Norén on the 28th of December, 1979, in Hudiksvall, Sweden. She speaks fluent Danish, Norwegian, English, besides Swedish. She started her career at age seven, in the Icelandic movie “In the Shadow of the Raven” directed by Hrafn Gunnlaugsson. In 1996, she made her debut in the soap opera “Tre kronor”. In 2007, she acted in the Danish film “Daisy Diamond” directed by Simon Staho, which earned her the Best Actress Award in the Bodil and Robert prize. In 2009, she landed her breakthrough role as Lisbeth Salander, in the Stieg Larsson’s best-seller adaptation “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. She was nominated for a BAFTA Award for her performance in that movie. She took the same role in the sequels “The Girl Who Played with Fire” and “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest”. In 2017, she starred in the Netflix production “What Happened to Monday” which earned public acclaim.
