English journalist Kate Silverton was born on 4th August 1970 in Waltham Abbey, England. An achiever from a young age, she was a recipient of the Queen’s Guide Award in high school. Before she became a journalist, she worked for a bank. During that time she trained with BBC on ‘Look North’ news, moving forward to become a presenter for Tyne Tees Television. She also appeared as a panelist on ‘The Wright Stuff’ among several other shows. In 2005, she became a BBC presenter and was appointed as the presenter for their primetime show, ‘BBC News 8 pm Summary’. She also presented ‘BBC News at One’ in 2008. In the same year, she appeared alongside Dan Snow for the coverage of the 90th anniversary of the Royal Air Force. She has presented several other shows for BBC including ‘Big Cat Diary’, ‘The Speaker’ and a documentary titled, ‘10 Things You Need to Know About Sleep’. She has interviewed celebrated guests like Prince William during her career spanning over 25 years as a journalist and presenter.
