The Righteous Brothers Bio
The Righteous Brothers is a musical duo of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield from California, United States. The two started as members of The Paramours. They left and formed the duo. After two moderately successful albums, they sought the help of recording producer Phil Spector who helped them to record the single “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin.” This was followed by other hit singles in 1965 such as “Unchained Melody” and “Just Once in My Life.” Their success saw them earn a place in The Ed Sullivan Show.
They performed the song “Turn on Your Love Light” in the show, showcasing their powerful vocals. They also performed “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” They continued to record together until 1968 when Bill Medley embarked on a solo career. They reunited a couple of times in the next four decades until Bobby Hatfield passed away suddenly before a show in 2003.
