Jonny Lang is an American blues, gospel, and rock singer, songwriter, musician, and recording artist born in Fargo, North Dakota on January 29, 1981. Lang started playing the guitar at 12 years old. In 1997, at 15 years old, he released his debut studio album titled Lie to Me. The album charted at number 44 on the Billboard 200. He has since released the albums Wander This World, Long Time Coming, Turn Around, Live at the Ryman, Fight for My Soul, and Signs. Lang has released his music and albums through the labels A&M, Concord International, and Interscope. He has had five albums that have charted in the top 50 on the Billboard 200 and won a Grammy Award for his album Turn Around. In 1997 Lang made his debut appearance on television in Disney Channel’s In Concert. He has also made appearances on the shows and films Blues Brothers 2000, The Drew Carey Show, The David Letterman Show, Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival 2004, Live at Montreux 1999 DVD, and Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival 2000.
