American producer, author, television personality and host and notable LGBTQ member Karamo Brown was born on November 2, 1980 in Houston, Texas. His career in entertainment began when he joined MTV’s reality show The Real World: Philadelphia in 2004. Immediately after that, he joined Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Inferno II (2005) but he was eliminated on the show’s sixth episode. In 2014, he tried his hand in producing when he produced Own Show which aired on Oprah‘s OWN. The next year, he produced and hosted a web series for the Huffington Post entitled HuffPost Live. In 2016, he went back to reality television with TV One’s The Next 15. He was then catapulted into fame when his Netflix series, Queer Eye, the revival of the show with the same name which aired from 2003 to 2007, was released in February 2018. The show also gave him nominations as best reality TV host from Gold Derby Awards and the Online Film and Television Association.
