Robert Randolph is an American musical artist who performs R&B, gospel, soul, and funk as Robert Randolph and the Family Band. He was born in Orange, New Jersey, United States, on August 8, 1977. Robert began his music career in 2001 when he would perform with John Medeski and the North Mississippi Allstars. In 2002, he began performing with Marcus Randolph, Lenesha Randolph, and Brett Haas as Robert Randolph and the Family Band. His discography with the group includes the hit singles Ain’t Nothing Wrong with That, I Need More Love, Find a Way, Got Soul, Shake It, and the albums Unclassified, Brighter Days, We Walk This Road, and Lickety Split. Robert has received multiple Grammy nominations for Best Rock Instrumental Performance, Best Contemporary Blues Album, and Best Rock Gospel Album.
