Ezekiel Elliot is an American professional football player born in Alton, Illinois on July 22, 1995. He is currently a running back for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. Elliot played football in high school at John Burroughs School in Ladue, Missouri for the John Burroughs Bombers football team. In 2013 he played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He went on to play college football at Ohio State University from 2013 to 2015. While in college, he received numerous honors, including Offensive MVP of the 2015 Sugar Bowl and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year, and others. In 2016 he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round, 4th overall, in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was signed to a four-year rookie contract for $24.9 million with a signing bonus of $16.3 million. In 2019 the Cowboys picked up the fifth-year option on his contract. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 4,048 rushing yards, 28 rushing touchdowns, 135 receptions, 1,199 receiving yards, and 6 receiving touchdowns.
