Jenna Dewan is an American actress and dancer born in Hartford, Connecticut on December 3, 1980. She is best known for her role as Nora Clark on the film Step Up. Dewan started her career as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson, and also worked with the artists Missy Elliot, Christina Aguilera, and Pink. In 2004 she made her debut on television in the show Quintuplets and continued landing roles in the shows The Young and the Restless, Joey, Melrose Place, The Playboy Club, Witches of East End, The Mindy Project, Supergirl, Man with a plan, No Tomorrow and others. She made her debut in film in 2005 in the movie Waterborne and has since had roles in the films Tamara, Step Up, The Grudge 2, Love Lies Bleeding, Falling Awake, Balls to the Wall, 10 Years, Setup, The Wedding Year and more. Throughout her career she has been nominated for several awards and has won a Teen Choice Award and a Peabody Award.
