Justina Machado is an American actress who was born on September 6, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois. In her childhood, Justina showed interest in acting so her parents took her to the Latino Chicago theater company. In 1990 she moved to New York where she gained experience performing in theatres. These experiences helped her to get some big jobs there and received contracts for working on television series such as ‘NYPD blue’, “Little Fugitive”, ‘Alpha mom’ or ‘No one would tell’ and more. In her movie filmography we can find several popular titles, including ‘Final destination 2’, ‘The accidental husband’ with Uma Thurman and Colin Firth and ‘In the electric mist’ with Tommy Lee Jones and John Goodman. She is an award-winning actress. She won a SAG award with the cast of the series “Six Feet Under” and also won various Imagen Foundation Awards for her star role in the comedy “One Day at a Time”.
