American actor Kelsey Grammer was born on February 21, 1955 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. He first tried his hand at acting when he was in high school. With his teachers affirming his potential as an actor, he entered New York’s Juilliard School. After spending two years in the institution, he became active in doing stage plays. In 1984, he joined the cast of Cheers and stayed until its series finale in 1993. Right after that, he starred in the show’s spin-off named after his character, Frasier. The series gave him three Primetime Emmy awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy (1994, 1995, 1998) and two Golden Globe awards for Best Lead Actor in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical (1995, 2000). After an iconic 20-year run as Dr. Frasier Crane, he went on to star in numerous other projects, some of them utilizing him as a voice actor.
