STRFKR Bio
STRFKR is a American indie rock band originating in 2007 in Portland, Oregon. The band’s current membership consists of Joshua Hodges, Shawn Glassford, and Keil Corcoran. The band originally started under the name Starfucker but changed the name when they signed to the Polyvinyl in 2012. In 2008 the group released their self-titled debut studio album. The album was hailed by critics for its dance friendly nature.
The band received an unexpected boost in popularity off of a Target commercial that sampled their song “Rawnald Gregory Erickson the Second.” In 2011 they released their next album called Reptilians on the label Polyvinyl. The went on tour in 2012 and also released their third album in early 2013 called Miracle Mile. After a short hiatus, the current members of the band returned in 2015 with the album Being No One, Going Nowhere. The album debuted at number 1 on the US Heat Check Charts.
