Hailing from Arlington, Texas, Pantera is an American band that performs heavy metal music. The band consists of Vinnie Paul on drums, Dimebag Darrell on guitars, Rex Brown on bass guitar, and Phil Anselmo on vocals.
Pantera was formed in 1981, and two years later, the band released its debut album Metal Magic. Pantera became famous in 1990 when their fifth studio project Cowboys from Hell was well-received internationally, creating a huge fanbase for them. Their discography includes the hit singles Walk, Cemetery Gates, I’m Broken, 5 Minutes Alone, This Love, Mouth For War, and the albums Reinventing the Steel, Vulgar Display of Power, and The Great Southern Trendkill.
Pantera’s music was featured in the album Rock alongside fellow musical artists Fleetwood Mac, Alice Cooper, The Stranglers, Twisted Sister, Whitesnake, Green Day, and Alice.
