John Malkovich is an American actor, producer, and fashion designer born in Christopher, Illinois on December 9, 1953. Malkovich started his acting career appearing in theatre productions on and off Broadway. In 1984 he made his debut on Broadway as Biff in Death of a Salesman. He has had roles in the films Empire of the Sun, Con Air, Of Mice and Men, Rounders, Burn After Reading, Red, Dangerous Liaisons, Warm Bodies, Bird Box, The Killing Fields, Johnny English, Shadow of the Vampire, In the Line of Fire Places of the Heart and more. Malkovich has appeared in over 70 films. He has also produced the films Juno, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and Ghost World and has directed the film A Celebration of Harold Pinter. In 2002 he created his own fashion company named Mrs. Mudd and designs the outfits himself. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won a Primetime Emmy Award, a New York Film Critics Circle Award, a Boston Society of Film Critics Award and others.
