Dave Stewart is an English musician, born as David Allan Stewart on September 9, 1952, in Sunderland, United Kingdom. He is best known as the one-half of the duo Eurythmics and his professional partnership with Annie Lennox. In 1985, he achieved success as a producer, with Aretha Franklin's album Who's Zoomin' Who. In the years to follow, he worked as a producer and collaborator with Ringo Starr, Celine Dion, Bono, and Mick Jagger, among other notable artists. In 1995, he released his solo debut titled Greetings from the Gutter. Four years later, he scored the music for the film Cookie's Fortune, directed by Robert Altman. He later scored films of Paul Verhoeven, Ted Demme, and the film Alfie, which won Golden Globe for Best Original Song. The English musician, songwriter, and record producer has won Best British Producer at 1986, 1987, and 1990 Brit Awards. In 2015, he won The Outstanding Contribution to UK Music Award by the Producers Guild.
