Purab Kohli Bio
Indian television actor, Purab Kohli rose to fame as a video jockey. His career began with the hindi teen drama, ‘Hip Hip Hurray,’ in 1998. The show, which was a huge success, served as a launchpad for him. In 2005, he starred in the fantasy sitcom, ‘Shararat.’ In 2010, he anchored the music show, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar. He became a household favourite and went on to host the show, ‘Terra Quiz,’ on National Geographic Channel. Purab is also a model who has featured in campaigns for many brands like Pizza Hut, Colgate, Compaq Presario and Castrol. He made his cinematic debut in the 2003 film, ‘Bas Yun Hi.’ He has acted in several other films including, ‘Supari,’ Vastu Shastra,’ and ‘13th Floor.’ One of the most notable performances of his career was in the 2005 film, ‘My Brother Nikhil.’ This was followed by a role in the film, ‘Rock On!’ which earned him a special jury mention at the Filmfare Awards in 2009.
