Christopher Adam Daughtry, better known as Chris Daughtry, is an American singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the lead singer of the band Daughtry that performs pop rock and post-grunge. He was born in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, United States, on December 26, 1979.
Chris began his music career in the late 1990s when he began performing with his high school friends as the band Cadence, with whom he released the album All Eyes on You. He became famous in 2006 when he formed the band Daughtry which also consists of Josh Steely on guitar and vocals, Brian Craddock on guitar and vocals, Elvio Fernandes on keyboard and vocals, and Brandon Maclin on drums.
His discography with the band includes the hit singles Over You, It’s Not Over, Waiting for Superman, Home, Life After You, and the albums Dearly Beloved, Leave This Town, and Break the Spell.
