Ricky Reed is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer born in Berkeley, California in 1983. Reed is the founder of the recording company Nice Life Recording Company. He is a solo artist and the lead vocalist of the indie rock band Facing New York. He joined Facing New York in 2004 and has released three albums with the band, Facing New York, Get Hot, and Dogtown. As a solo artist, he has released the singles “Express Myself”, “Be The 1”, “Joan of Arc”, and “Good Vibrations.” Reed has co-written and produced songs for a number of artists, including “Anyway” by CeeLo Green, “Talk Dirty”, “Side FX”, “Perfect Timing”, and “Wiggle” by Jason Derulo, “Bo$$” by Fifth Harmony, “Fireball” by Pitbull, “Tear in My Heart”, “Lane Boy”, “Ride”, “Goner”, and “Heavydirtysoul” by Twenty One Pilots, “No” by Meghan Trainor, and many more. In 2015 he received a BMI Pop Award and in 2016 he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Producer of the Year.
