Nick Saban, born as Nicholas Lou Saban Jr., on October 31, 1951, in Fairmont, West Virginia, is an American football coach. He started his professional career as a football coach first serving as an assistant coach in NCAA Division I-A at different schools including Syracuse, West Virginia, Ohio State, Navy, and many others. But he first became a head coach at the University of Toledo and later resigned in order to work as a defensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns for four seasons. However, it was him serving as a head coach at the Louisiana State University, and the Michigan State University, and most importantly, serving as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL) that brought him the biggest success. As of 2007, Nick Saban is the head coach at the University of Alabama.
