Nicola Roberts, born Nicola Marie Roberts on the 5th of October 1985 in Lincolnshire, England is an English recording artist, songwriter, singer and fashion designer. Her career began after she appeared in the reality television series, Popstars The Rivals, where she became a member of the girl-group Girls Aloud. Active from 2002 to 2009, the group has released hits such as I’ll Stand by You and Untouchable.
As a solo artist, Roberts has released an album, Cinderella’s Eyes in 2011 with the label Polydor, releasing the hit singles Beat of My Drum, Lucky Day and Yo-Yo. As a songwriter Roberts has written hits for Little Mix, such as Going Nowhere and See Me Know as well as songs for Cheryl Cole and more recently for Tinashe and Nina Nesbitt.
