Gary Robert Dourdan is an actor born on December 11, 1966, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. His first role was as Shazza Zulu in A Different World (1987). In 1993, he was featured in the video for Janet Jackson's Again.
Gary starred as Malcolm X in ABC's Muhammad Ali: King of the World in 2000. Then, in April 2000, he was cast as Warrick Brown in the CBS crime procedural CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The series was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award, which it finally won in 2005. He was also nominated at the NAACP Image Awards as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, winning in 2003 and 2006.
In 2007, he starred alongside Halle Berry in Perfect Stranger. He voiced Crispus Allen in the 2008 Batman: Gotham Knight. Also, he was seen on BET's Being Mary Jane. His recent movies include Redemption Day (2021), Righteous Villains (2020), and Où sont les noirs? (2020). Besides acting, he records and performs live music.
