Tank and the Bangas Bio
Tank and the Bangas is an American soul and funk group passed in New Orleans. Consisting of members Tarriona Ball, otherwise known as Tank and Joshua Johnson, Norma Spence, Merrell Burkett, Jonathan Johnson, Joe Johnson, Anjelika Joseph, Kayla Buggage, Albert Allenbeck and Etienne Stoufflet.
With that has been described as a lively and animated fusion of soul, funk, rock, hip-hop and spoken word the large group makes music unique to each individual member. Winners of NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest for their hit song Quick, their studio album is called Think Tank and they have won four awards thus far, including the Afropunk Festival contest and the RAWards Best New Orleans Artist of the Year as well as an Emerging Artist Award.
