Bud Dupree was born as Alvin Dupree Jr. in Macon, Georgia on February 12, 1993. He was the first round, the 22nd overall pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2015 NFL Draft and he signed a four-year contract with the team. In 2018, the Steelers exercised their fifth-year option to keep Dupree on the team for the 2019 season. He is currently the outside linebacker for the Steelers.
In high school, Dupree went to Wilkinson County High School, and Rivals.com ranked him as a three-star recruit. He went to the University of Kentucky in 2011 where he started as a linebacker. He switched to being a defensive lineman later on. He was voted as the team captain for the Wildcats during his senior year. He was part of the first-team All-SEC in 2014.
