Andrew Whitworth is an American football player born in Monroe, Louisiana on December 12, 1981. He currently plays as an offensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League. Whitworth played football in high school for the Rebels at West Monroe High School in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was on two Louisiana Class 5A State Championship teams in 1998 and 2000 and part of four straight district championship teams in one of the toughest districts in the state. He attended college at Louisiana State University and played with the college football team from 2002 to 2005. In 2006 he was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft, 55th overall. He made his debut in an NFL game on September 10, 2006 at Kansas City. In 2008 he signed a four year extension for $30 million and in 2015 signed a one-year extension with the team. In 2017 he signed a three-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams and in 2018 helped the team reach Super Bowl LII, but ultimately lost to the New England Patriots.
