DeSean Jackson is an American football player born in Los Angeles, California on December 1, 1986. He played football in high school at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, California. Jackson was named the 2004 Glen David Award winner by the Los Angeles Times as Southern California’s Player of the Year. In his senior year he was voted the Most Valuable Player in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas. He went on to play college football at the University of California for the California Golden Bears from 2005 to 2007. In 2008 he was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round, 49th overall, in the 2008 NFL Draft. In 2012 he re-signed with the Eagles to a five-year contract for $51 million. He was released by the Eagles on March 28, 2014. On April 2, 2014, he signed a three-year contract with the Washington Redskins for $24 million with $16 million guaranteed. In 2017 he signed a three-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for $33.5 million. He was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 589 receptions, 10,261 receiving yards, 53 receiving touchdowns, 1,350 return yards, and 4 return touchdowns. Jackson has played in 3 Pro Bowls in 2009, 2010, and 2013.
