Eddie Alvarez Bio
Eddie Alvarez was born Edward Alvarez in Kensington, Pennsylvania, United States on January 11, 1984. As of February 11, 2019, he is the No. 11 Current Best MMA Lightweight Fighter and he sits at No. 37 in the Current Best Pound For Pound MMA Fighter. In 2016, he was No. 15 in the MMA Fighter of the Year rankings. He is known by the nickname The Underground King and he is affiliated with Blackzilians. His last fight was with Dustin Poirier on UFC on FOX 30 where he lost. He won the MFC Welterweight Championship in 2006. In 2011, he bagged the Bellator Lightweight Championship. He signed with UFC in 2014 and he made his debut on UFC 178 in a fight against Donald Cerrone in September of that year.
