Tinchy Stryder Bio
Tinchy Stryder, born Kwasi Danquah, is a Ghanian-born rapper who rose to prominence through London’s grime scene in the early 2000s. Featuring on pirate radio stations with the likes of grime pioneer Dizzee Rascal, he joined grime crew Ruff Sqwad is 2001. He featured prominently on their mixtapes Guns And Roses, Volume 1 in 2005, and Guns And Roses, Volume 2 in 2006. He released his solo debut, Star in the Hood, in 2007 to the acclaim of the then-waning grime scene. His second album, Catch 22, was promoted with three high-charting singles, and was certified Gold in the UK. Most recently, he released a double album, The Cloud 9 EP / 360°, in 2016.
