Eric Roberts is an American actor born in Biloxi, Mississippi on April 18, 1956. He is best known for his roles in the films, King of the Gypsies, Wolves of Wall Street, Runaway Train, and Deadline. He has had a successful career in Hollywood, appearing in over 500 productions. His acting career started in 1964 when he made his debut on television in the soap opera Another World, he continued landing roles in television series like In Cold Blood, Oz, Frasier, Falcone, Less than Perfect, CSI: Miami, Heroes, Entourage, Grey’s Anatomy, among others. His debut in film was in 1978 in the film King of the Gypsies which he received a Golden Globe nomination for. He has also been in the films Public Enemies, The Cable Guy, The Shadow Men, The Expendables, Assault on Wall Street, Maximum Impact, A Fatal Obsession, Before I Sleep, and many more. Throughout his career in acting he has been nominated for numerous awards including three Golden Globes and an Academy Award. He has won an Independent Spirit Award, a Hoboken International Film Festival Award, a Long Island Film Festival Award, a Satellite Award, and several more.
