Brian Gazer is an American film and television producer born in Los Angeles, California on July 12, 1951. In 1974 he graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema-Television. He started his career in Hollywood developing television pilots at Paramount Pictures in the early 80s where he met his future business partner and friend Ron Howard. In 1982 he produced his first feature-film Night Shift that was directed by Ron Howard. In 1986 he co-founded Imagine Entertainment with Howard. His productions span over 25 years and include films and television shows like Robin Hood, American Gangster, The Da Vinci Code, Life, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Arrested Development, Empire, Lie to Me, Angels & Demons, Cowboys & Aliens, The Dilemma, and a number of others. The films his production company has produced have grossed over $13 billion and his films and television shows have been nominated for 187 Emmys and 43 Academy Awards. He has won five Emmys, an Oscar, a ShoWest Lifetime Achievement Award, an MPSE Filmmaker Award and more. In 2015 he published his debut book titled A Curious Mind: The Secret to a Bigger Life.
