Evan Longoria was born in Downey, California on October 7, 1985. He was the first round pick of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 2006 MLB Amateur Draft. He made his debut on April 2008. In 2017, Tampa Bay Devil Rays traded him to the San Francisco Giants. During his career, he amassed three All-Star Game wins from 2008 to 2010. He was also the American League Rookie of the Year in 2008 and the AL Wilson Defensive Player in 2013. He received three Gold Gloves in the American league, in 2009, 2010, and 2017. He also received a silver slugger in 2009 AL. He was the Rookie of the Month in June 2008 and the Player of the Month in April 2009 in the American league.
